Why do we do startups?
So why do we do startups? Is it the desire to be rich? The ability to be the master of your own schedule. Or is it the ability to do what you want to do? To some extent it can be all of these. But what really keeps an entrepreneur going is the sheer joy of creating , of making a vision a reality, of making things work in an environment where it doesn’t, of doing something not done before. That’s what wakes us up in the morning and drives us as we do things. Close cousins to this joy are the thrills, the passion, and the drive. At a conference I heard Tina Seelig say that entrepreneurship is an extreme sport. I couldn’t agree more!
